Looks like our man Chris may be headed for some trouble.
As you all may know, I do a weekly podcast with Chris Flick of Capes N' Babes and Matt Stout of Big Sandy Gilmore (who sadly couldn't make it tonight), focusing on webcomics called The Lightbox. The podcast is recorded live every Thursday night at 8:00 PM EST on Talkshoe. The show is also available for download on iTunes. Just search for Lightbox Illuminating Webcomics and you'll find it right there.
Tonight we had Thomas Overbeck of Times Like This, W. Byron Wilkins of 1977 the Comic, and Jonathan Cuastrita of Tiki Coladas on the show. Thomas and Jon are both organizing the Dallas Webcomics Expo along with Michael Moreno, who sadly, we couldn't get in on the show. We chatted about how they went about organizing and promoting the show as well as some details on what exactly the show will feature.
For more information be sure to check out the site at http://www.dwex.info. There are still spots available for exhibtors and the table prices can't be beat ($40 for a full table or $25 for a half-table). Also, if you're in the Dallas area, come on out and see everyone. General admission is only $5. The show will be hosted at the Southfork Hotel in Plano, Texas, just outside of Dallas on November 14th, 2009 from 11AM-6PM.
So, go on and make plans to head out and see us there. You can check out tonight's show below as well.
The site went down this weekend for a couple of days and I apologize for this. For those that don't know, I've recently picked my previous comic, I'm Not Bob, back up. As such, I had to do some adjusting with my hosting because the imnotbob.com domain also pointed here to Tuned Out Frequencies. So, I had to pull the site down to move some things around to get the domains pointed in the right directions. They're fine now and the site is back up and running.
If you're interested, please check out I'm Not Bob. I'll be updating that comic every Tuesday and Thursday in full color I might add. Don't think that I've forgotten about this comic though. I will continue to post updates as often as I can. Hopefully I will stick to the weekly schedule. That said, there may be a delay in posting a new comic until after November 14th because I'm preparing for my trip to Plano, TX for the Dallas Webcomics Expo. I have bought my table and am now a confirmed guest for the show.
Again, I apologize for the down time and thank you for your patience.
Chris Flick and I talk about getting ready for your first convention, designing a post card or flyer for your comic that stands out, and more on the Dallas Webcomics Expo.
As many of you know already, I'm planning on attending the Dallas Webcomics Expo next month. I decided to order up a bunch of these post cards which contain the soundtrack/playlist for the comic. Some songs may make sense, but most won't until the story plays out. So, if you're in Plano, Texas on November 14th and stop in, you'll get one of these absolutely free.

Whether you just started reading today or you've been reading since the beginning, I'd love to have your feedback on how you think the comic could improve. Don't hesitate to be honest in your answers. Anything you choose will be taken constructively. As a creator, I am constantly seeking ways to improve so any feedback is good feedback. Thank you for reading and taking the time to vote.
